Background
My poetry speaks to vulnerability, self empowerment, women empowerment, community, mass incarceration, trauma, healing, the human experience, and the black experience. My works represent, in its full extent, —the complexity, and evolution of both the earthly realm and spiritual realms. Recently published a nonfiction text, a literary thesis that analyzes the causes of the mass migration of Caribbean people. A New York Native to the core. In encompass to my writing, I am former member of NYSED Blue Ribbon Commission Advisory Committee. Member of Sigma Tau Delta- International English Honor Society (2007- Present).
